Pleo-Parents’ Lifelines Gala
Thank you for joining us at the Art of Support Gala.
The room was filled with warmth and hope because of you. As parents/caregivers, being in community with friends and supporters reminded us that we are part of a collective that cares. We are not alone, and your presence was re-energizing.
One moment that will stay with me came during the fireside chat, when Tara addressed her son, Travis, and said: “I knew you would be ok, when you asked for help.” Both their courage, and their way of holding pain with tenderness, reminded me of why we lean on each other, and create spaces for healing. What was a touching moment for you?
Together, we raised close to $48,000 (event goal was $50,000) and launched the Lifeline Collective, our monthly support program. We are thrilled to have this program up and running. This momentum allows us to begin planning an expansion of our Lifeline working hours so we can always be there for parents/caregivers, especially during the most critical moments.
We will keep you posted as the Lifeline grows, and we look forward to sharing more resources and care. We are very grateful to be in community with you. Thanks to you, parents/caregivers will have a listening ear and increased support on their journeys. Our families can be woven together and flourish, thanks to people who care.
An Evening of Celebration, Creativity, and Community
The evening will be alive with live music and DJ DHAO, creating the perfect celebratory atmosphere. Beyond the delectable food and drink, immerse yourself in an evening of artistic engagement. Ginger McCoy from earthen vessels will be facilitating a hands-on experience at the potter’s wheel where you can try throwing clay or create unique pinch pots to take home as a memento. A curated selection of both art and non-art items will also be offered in the silent auction, providing an opportunity to acquire beautiful pieces and unique treasures while supporting a great cause.
The Gala will mesmerize and enchant with live painting from artist Allan AndrĂ©, who we are thrilled to welcome back this year, as well as artist Mitra Salamzada. Experience their creativity in action, as they each bring a piece to life before your eyes, and bid on their finished masterpieces in the silent auction. Throughout the night, artist Travis Jordan will captivate with live music, blending heartfelt storytelling with a raw, roots-inspired sound. As the evening draws to a close, prepare to be inspired by a heartfelt fireside chat with artist Tara Shannon and her son Travis, who together will share their inspiring journey as parent and young adult navigating the challenges of mental health and addiction. Following this intimate conversation, Tara will be joined by Travis for a moving musical performance, culminating the evening in a powerful moment of connection, inspiration, and hope. Â
